18th Annual ‘Super Plunge’ Set for Saturday, Feb. 12

St. Francis Community Center’s a lot-expected Tremendous Plunge difficulties regional citizens to channel their internal polar bears and leap into the frosty ocean. While final year’s occasion was moved to Might, which means Plungers were greeted by a little bit hotter temperatures, this winter the function – the 18th yearly – is set for Saturday, Feb. 12, the day in advance of Super Bowl Sunday. Get ready for icy-cold h2o!
The Plunge will take spot at 11 a.m. on the 48th Avenue beach front in Brant Beach, across the highway from St. Francis of Assisi Church, which is positioned at 4700 Very long Beach Blvd. Users of the Prolonged Seaside Township Seashore Patrol will be on web page to lifeguard the party.
St. Francis reminds individuals not only to use their bathing go well with or costume, but to also deliver “a robe, towel, blanket or whatsoever else you’ll will need to heat your self after” the dip in the Atlantic.
Registration varieties can be picked up at the front desk of the community center or printed off Facebook at fb.com/stfrancislbi. The fee to participate is $30 for every man or woman or just $20 for college students. Return varieties to the entrance desk prior to 10:30 a.m. on the 12th.
