Animal Shelter Group Welcomes Back Annual Meeting

The Friends of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter welcome the community to their yearly users conference, on Saturday, April 23 at midday. It is the very first one in two decades, because the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference will be held at the Bay Avenue Local community Middle, 775 East Bay Ave. in Manahawkin. Light fare will be served for a fulfill and greet with the FOSOCAS board, committee and chair individuals. Attendees will find out how to get included and volunteer to support help save the life of homeless animals in the region.
There will also be a entertaining awards ceremony. The “catnip award” will go to a man or woman who has donated their initiatives to the reward of cats, whilst the “dog bone award” will go to a person who has devoted their time and energy to “man’s greatest friend.” There is also a volunteer of the calendar year award up for grabs.
Brian E. Rumpf, who is director of administration and system growth for the Ocean County Overall health Division, which oversees both of those of the county shelters, will be in attendance and will share about the various changes and improvements becoming built to the shelter this yr.
Kelly Karch from Stafford Township Animal Handle will give a chat about how to locate lost pets as properly as the hazards of trapping wildlife.
