Barnegat Township will get into the getaway spirit all through the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Frederick Watts Gazebo Park on Route 9 and East Bay Avenue.
Jean Broadbent, township recreation director, claimed the festivities start at 2 p.m., when there will be pop-up vendors offering holiday-oriented things.
“We’ll also have a DJ taking part in holiday break new music from 2 to 5,” she claimed. “We’ll be lights the tree and other decorations in the park at 4:30.”
That day also begins the volunteer hearth company’s Santa runs, starting at 5 p.m. when Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be pushed by the Windward segment of town. Next that, they will satisfy kids and pose for pics at the Birdsall Avenue firehouse.
The remaining plan is as follows: Dec. 5, Timbers portion, 5 p.m. Dec. 8, Carriage Way and Ocean Acres portion, 7 p.m. Dec. 11, Settlers Landing, 5 p.m. Dec. 12, Pebble Seaside and Atlantic Heights, 5 p.m. Dec. 13, Brighton at Barnegat and Pinewood Estates, 7 p.m.
The hearth firm reminds people that Santa’s convoy can not journey down cul-de-sacs or lifeless-stop streets, so viewers are questioned to stroll out to the closest major street.
