Barnegat School Board Member Resigns

The Barnegat Board of Education has an opening as Alicia Bivins a short while ago introduced her resignation.
Board President Sean O’Brien explained Bivins stepped down immediately after going to Stafford Township. Bivins was 1st elected in 2020.
Fascinated candidates for the posture can log onto the district’s site,
O’Brien explained the board would job interview candidates at its reorganization assembly Monday, Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the superior university.
“We’re wanting to announce the new board member at that meeting,” he claimed. “I’m hoping we listen to from a fantastic sum of applicants. Some of them could be people who ran but did not earn final November.”
O’Brien mentioned whoever is appointed would have to operate again for the remaining calendar year of the unexpired phrase in November 2022.
Bivins is the next board member to phase down within just the previous 5 months, as Doreen Continanza resigned in August right after relocating to Atlantic County.
“That means we will have five seats open up in the November election, the two who resigned moreover the a few customers whose typical conditions expire,” explained O’Brien.  —E.E.
