In remodeling its arcade in the off-period, Fantasy Island Amusement Park in Seaside Haven uncovered itself with 100 surplus Tiffany-model stained glass ceiling lamps considering that they no longer would be in use.
Brian Wainwright, Fantasy Island CEO, resolved to offer you men and women a opportunity to own a piece of the arcade’s historical past by putting them up for sale at $250 each.
“But I didn’t want to do it as a moneymaker for us, so I made a decision to do it as a fundraiser for the Beach Haven Elementary College,” he reported.
The proceeds will gain the school’s PTA.
“We’ll use the cash to fix up the basketball courts and the playground,” stated Melanie Markoski, PTA president. “Whatever is elevated will go to items outdoors our creating.”
Markoski said the school has experienced a “great functioning relationship with Fantasy Island,” located across the road from the school on Bay Avenue.
“Before the holiday break last year, the young children were being informed to go exterior because we were being heading to have a fireplace drill,” she stated. “Mr. Wainwright mentioned considering the fact that it was cold, they could go inside of the arcade and heat up for a few minutes. When the young children acquired there, they received a huge surprise – two hrs of free sport time.”
