The Tuckerton Historic Society provides its third method of the calendar year, “Contentious Elections in American History,” at the Small Egg Harbor Quaker conference property on July 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. Background professor Richard Trimble will talk about America’s sometimes rocky journey to the voting booth. Political fights have been portion of the political scene as far back as 1793. He will also explain how the election process has advanced.
Having said that, there will be no dialogue of the 2020 presidential election. Donations of $5 for society nonmembers are requested at the doorway.  —P.J.
