What could be a far better indication of spring than hearing “We’re back again!” about the Lenten “Fish Frydays” that the Knights of Columbus retains at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Manahawkin?
“Come a single, appear all, consume in or just take out,” they invite.
The Knights of Columbus Annunciation Council 3826 offers St. Mary’s Lenten “Fish Frydays” on March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1, and 8 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the parish centre, 100 Bishop Way, off McKinley Avenue.
The grownup food ($17 each individual) offers a few selections: two fish, just one fish with 5 shrimp, or 10 shrimp. Children’s meals are $7 every single and consist of either macaroni and cheese or pizza.
The menu is fried battered cod (baked available on request), battered shrimp for those who decide on shrimp, French fries, coleslaw, selfmade soup (wide variety alternating weekly), rolls and butter, cocktail sauce/tartar sauce/lemon/malt vinegar, coffee, soda and desserts.
There is no need to have to register to try to eat in at the heart just spend at the doorway. Having said that, for the takeout foods, “call in advance and we’ll have it ready,” organizers claimed. The quantity is 609-597-1814.
Proceeds will gain Knights of Columbus charities and scholarships.  —M.S.
