Harvey Cedars Police in Child Safety Restraint Program

The Harvey Cedars Law enforcement Section is participating in a grant method with the county to pressure the worth of suitable baby basic safety restraints in vehicles.
Law enforcement Chief Robert Burnaford stated Det. Tim Butler is the department’s baby security restraint expert.
“This grant will permit him to be obtainable to inspect vehicles and to suggest men and women how to correctly protected their children,” the chief reported. “He could make a specific in-man or woman or virtual presentation, dependent how the COVID condition is likely. It is feasible we could also companion with other departments.”
Borough Clerk Daina Dale mentioned the borough would be reimbursed $55 an hour to include further time Butler demands to examine or make a presentation.
“We probably won’t get started out until finally the summer months, when many households and children are in this article,” said Burnaford.
In accordance to state law, a child below the age of 8 and a height of 57 inches shall be secured in a belt-positioning booster seat.  A youngster about 8 many years of age or 57 inches in height must be correctly secured by a seat belt.
