The Stafford Township Recreation Division presents the inaugural Vacation Wonderland and Xmas Current market on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 1 to 7 p.m., when farmers, makers and food suppliers will fill Heritage Park.
Costume warmly and bring the complete family members “downtown” for a total day of procuring, food items vehicles, hearth pits, Santa and Mrs. Claus, live entertainment and much more, to get anyone in the getaway spirit.
Recreation Director Jason Hazelton is proud to announce the to start with-time event. The strategy came about previous slide, he stated, when the Founders Day Parade of Background event was held at the park.
“That was our outside, COVID-19-pleasant event that was an alternate/homage to Founders Working day,” he defined. “We liked the truly feel of the event in that area, and realized we were going to be incorporating the Farmers Market place for summer time of 2021, and then the conversation led us to a winter/Xmas market concept. We realized it was also a good way to showcase the historic buildings all decorated for the holiday seasons, as they have turn into a preferred halt on the Stafford PTA Chef’s Tour.”
The new wonderland party is in addition to the annual tree lighting at town hall, to be held Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. (See different story.)
“We hope attendees will get pleasure from and consider absent a emotion of heat, local community and vacation spirit from the celebration,” Hazelton reported. “The Aged Stone Store and Educate Station will be embellished and open to people we have in excess of 50 unique makers and vendors, crafts for all your Xmas buying. There will also be a photograph vignette with Santa and Mrs. Claus in entrance of the teach automobile, Starlight Undertaking Arts will be strolling the park caroling, and Zinnia Moon will be doing the sounds of the period on the educate system. The mood will be established with hearth pits, foods vehicles, ice sculpture, storytime at the library, a reward auction and, of class, lots of hot chocolate!”
Shuttle service is offered among the municipal sophisticated on East Bay Avenue and Heritage Park. —V.F.
