Interfaith Health and fitness and Assist Providers of Southern Ocean County and the Ocean County Business office of Senior Providers have opened a satellite office environment in the Hackensack Meridian Wellness constructing at 279 Mathistown Rd. in Little Egg Harbor.
Kathleen Cheeseman, director of Interfaith Health and fitness and Aid, reported the firm has been hoping to offer additional providers to seniors in Minimal Egg Harbor but was constricted mainly because most of the volunteers are from points north of the township.
“Here’s what transpired: I have been striving to get volunteers to be in a position to provider Mystic Shores and points south of Mathistown, but it is challenging due to the fact most of our volunteers are living in Stafford and Barnegat townships. So to have them come down to Tiny Egg and then acquire somebody to a doctor’s stop by up in Manahawkin, then drive back again to Tiny Egg and then drive household – I just was not going to do that to my volunteers. Then I spoke with Mayor Bobbi (Barbara Jo Crea), and she mentioned, ‘We want to do some thing!’”
Crea is the township liaison to the senior advisory committee and goes to one particular of the township’s five senior communities once a month for meetings. She had invited Cheeseman to arrive alongside, but then the COVID pandemic strike.
“But Mayor Bobbi explained we want to get this down here, so I talked with the folks of Hackensack Meridian Health. They give us space at 56 Nautilus in Manahawkin, and they presented us this constructing,” claimed Cheeseman.
In Small Egg Harbor, the office house is just off the foyer at 279 Mathistown Rd. and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting this 7 days – Nov. 17 and 19.

The office is also house to a digital link with Ocean County Senior Companies.
