The Ocean County Library will introduce award-successful historical adventure creator and screenwriter Steve Sheinkin to attendees of his virtual chat on Thursday, May 27, 6 p.m.
The plan is aspect of the library’s ongoing “Dive into YA: It is Not Just for Teens” sequence, which aims to present how real issues, vivid writing, diverse characters and imaginative principles propel youthful grownup literature and authors beyond traditional age classes.
Sheinkin creates historically accurate content and packs it with thrills. His newest tale is Born to Fly: The 1st Women’s Air Race Throughout The us.
A previous do the job, Bomb: The Race to Construct and Steal the World’s Most Perilous Weapon, earned a Newbery Honor, Siebert Medal, YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction, and was a National E-book Award finalist.
