Be a part of Bass River Point out Forest volunteer Learn Naturalist Kathy G. on a guided, “almost complete moon” hike and campfire on Saturday, Aug. 21.
This free, household-welcoming, 2-mile hike starts at 7:30 p.m. from the park pavilion off Stage Highway in Bass River Township. The almost-comprehensive-moon would make the sugar sand streets glow, so no flashlights are needed, but carry them in any case for extra protection.
The hike finishes with a managed campfire, so bring your own s’mores fixin’s. The hike and campfire celebration is limited to 25 people today, 7 several years of age and more mature. Sign up by contacting the forest office at 609-296-1114. —P.J.
