Ocean County’s Independence Fields County Park is likely to the pet dogs – at minimum partially. The county opened a new 4.5-acre off-leash pet dog park within just that greater park, positioned on Route 539 in Small Egg Harbor Township, on Tuesday, June 1.
Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines, chair of the Ocean County Office of Parks and Recreation, declared the opening of the canine park during a meeting of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners on May well 26.
The county now ran two off-leash canine amenities, both of those in the northern element of Ocean County. The just one at the Ocean County Airport in Berkeley Township opened in 2002 the other, at the Ocean County Park in Lakewood, opened its gates in 2004. “We have received a lot of requests from canine owners in the southern element of the county to open a puppy park closer to them,” claimed Haines. “This new regional off-leash doggy park is effortlessly available for our residents residing in the southern element of the county.
