To the Editor:
As a resident of Surf Town, I’d like to thank our law enforcement department for its diligence and commitment to public basic safety. As a person with an real frame of reference, I know how fortunate we are to have a police section of its caliber.
I’d like to issue out to Mr. Hofmeister (“Defund Island Police,” 11/18) that repeated violations of motor auto legislation normally end result in tickets. Perhaps he feels there should be a double regular in legislation enforcement: just one degree of enforcement in summer time followed by a comfortable a single for citizens in winter.
In closing, I’d like to reiterate my appreciation for not only our law enforcement division, but all our town’s fantastic employees and volunteers.
