Quakers Present Guitarist Keith Calmes in Concert

The Barnegat Quakers present a live performance by acclaimed guitarist Keith Calmes on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. Men and women have the choice of becoming a member of the concert in man or woman at the Quaker conference house on 614 East Bay Avenue or signing up via Zoom.
Whilst he is normally considered a classical guitarist, Calmes’ musical variety can be attested to. He has studied with jazz master Jim Corridor and opened for surf guitar legend Dick Dale. A deep desire in Indian rhythms has led to studies and performances with percussion virtuoso Selvaganesh Vinayakram and his spouse and children band. Calmes has also performed in a vast wide variety of jazz and rock bands.
Calmes is on the music faculty at Wall Large College in New Jersey and was offered the Remarkable Instructor Award from The College or university of New Jersey for his do the job at the large college.
