Sandy Island Burglary Under Investigation

The New Jersey Point out Police is in search of the public’s support pinpointing three guys who before this thirty day period allegedly burglarized a searching club positioned on a remote island in Barnegat Bay off Harvey Cedars.
On June 4, the guys have been captured on online video surveillance coming into the home of the Sandy Island Gun Club. Condition police stated the suspects broke a next tale window to obtain entry inside of, leading to supplemental injury to the home, and stole quite a few goods.
Law enforcement claimed the suspects have been captured on video clip surveillance cameras about the assets, and photos have been posted on the Condition Law enforcement Facebook web site. The 60-acre island is positioned in the bay between Harvey Cedars and Barnegat Township.
The house was owned by the late attorney Richard J. Shackleton and his son Forrest Shackleton. The loved ones experienced no comment when contacted.
“We’re not involved in the investigation, but we can give help if the condition police want it,” claimed Harvey Cedars Law enforcement Main Robert Burnaford. “Also, our officers will be on the lookout in circumstance these suspects are someplace on the Island. I would believe that all the police departments will be on the lookout, way too.”
