The Ship Base Borough Council is contemplating a measure that would bring resort and motel parking spaces in line with state polices. A general public listening to on the ordinance is slated for the council’s May possibly 24 meeting at borough hall.
Ordinance 2022-03 would require all hotels and motels in the borough to offer two parking spaces for every hotel unit in addition to the total number of areas for every use on website, like hotel models, ancillary eating places and commercial establishments.
The proposed evaluate seeks to amend present borough code for minimal off-avenue parking as it pertains to land advancement.
If accredited, the ordinance would be steady with Coastal Spot Services Evaluation Act polices, Mayor William Huelsenbeck said when the proposal was introduced by title only at the council’s April 26 assembly.  —G.G.S.
