The much-expected Super Plunge on Extended Beach Island is usually held on Super Bowl Sunday every single February, tasking brave locals to channel their interior polar bears and jump into the icy-cold ocean. While the function was a no-go this wintertime, St. Francis Community Center is thrilled to announce the 17th annual Plunge will take position on Saturday, May perhaps 8. And the water will still be quite cold!
Register for the event at the entrance desk of the neighborhood heart, at 4700 Very long Seaside Blvd. in Brant Seaside.
The registration rate is $20 for pupils and $30 for adults. All proceeds advantage St. Francis Local community Center’s Aquatic and Recreation Departments.
The Plunge will consider position at 1 p.m. on the 48th Road beach in Brant Beach. Masks and social distancing will be expected of members in advance of and following the dip, and spectators will be requested to stand outdoors of the plungers’ staging location.
