At any time snow falls this wintertime, take into consideration entering Stafford Township’s yearly snowman contest.
“The contest has been all around for over 20 yrs,” Assistant Recreation Director Jason Hazelton mentioned. “The thought originated from a brainstorming session amongst all of us for something exciting and easy to give inhabitants to conquer the winter blues. Of training course, the climate has to cooperate.”
Crucial: Retain an open and inventive thoughts! “Snowman” is a bit of a misnomer – go forward and establish a snowperson, snowpet, igloo, or any snow sculpture imaginable. Then photograph it, post it on the Rec Department’s Facebook web page, or electronic mail it to recreation@staffordnj.gov.
Notable entries will be showcased on social media and maybe in the 2022 Stafford Township calendar. Prizes – a snow-themed trophy and bragging legal rights – will be awarded at the end of the year.
“I think what can make it so enjoyable is the reality that once it commences to snow, all people turns into a child,” Hazelton explained. “It’s tremendous very simple to take part as well: Go have enjoyable in the snow, just take a photo, and send out it to us! So quick, and all smiles!”  —V.F.
