Surf City Lifts Ban on Outdoor Music, Effective Immediately

Citing the pandemic and to support nearby corporations, Surf Town officials are temporarily suspending the ban on amplified and live new music for firms effective immediately. Outdoor tunes is permitted commencing Friday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. daily.  
The suspension ends Sept. 10 or right up until terminated by council.  
“People are likely to have to be considerate of each other,” Mayor Francis Hodgson explained Friday morning. “We want to help firms recover some of their loss receipts.” 
This spring the council unanimously permitted, by resolution, short-term aid for outdoor eating applicants. Below the resolution, all outdoor dining applications with existing authorized indoor seating can amend their 2020 outdoor dining purposes to relocate indoor seating outdoor totally free of demand. 
At the time, Hodgson said the rules in the borough have been uncomplicated to observe since borough officers want the corporations to be effective. The short-term aid for out of doors dining expires 10 times just after the governor’s executive order is lifted or Dec. 31, whichever comes initially.  —G.G.S.
