Surflight Theatre’s output of the children’s theater vintage “Peter Pan” this Friday night will be quite special. That’s for the reason that 25 personnel from Beach Haven’s Compassion Café will be attending the display, free of charge, many thanks in significant aspect to Mary Jane Heater.
The retired special training trainer has been volunteering at Surflight for the past five decades. When she heard of the Compassion Café, she made a decision to visit it.
“When the café opened up, I was drawn to it and started going each early morning I labored at the theater,” explained Heater. “I obtained to speaking with the adults and mom and dad there and questioned if they would like to see a demonstrate at the theater. I then approached Gail Anderson (the associate artistic director, creation supervisor and casting director at the Queen Town landmark) at the theater and asked her what they could give. She explained she could do 25 no cost tickets on a Friday.
“I then advised them at the café about that supply, and extremely quickly the 25 tickets ended up claimed. I will meet and greet them and make certain they are seated in their spot.” —R.M.
