To the Editor:
Just a short note to say thank you to the new administration of Beach Haven for finally getting around to replacing the very dangerous high curb at Eighth Street and Bay Avenue. I began writing to the borough about this back in 2018, then again in 2019 and 2020 and had never received a response of any kind.
I was surprised and pleased several weeks ago to see red markings on the sidewalk at the corner, and just this past week the old high and dangerous curb was taken out and a new ADA handicapped curb was installed. I guess if you persevere and wait long enough, things will get done in Beach Haven.
It was one of the highest curbs in the town and always a fall accident waiting to happen. Now hopefully that will not happen. Thanks where thanks are due!
