(Commemorating the Battle of the Bulge, Dec. 16, 1944-Jan. 25, 1945)
Compelled marches in the dark
Not a just through a hometown park
From Liege to Bastogne 17 miles
As a result of German lines
Arrived Bastogne Christmas Day
All religions go to Mass, all veterans pray
Prayers are answered, the skies are obvious
Bombers and transportation now appear
Veterans etched by time
All people several hours on the line
The Bulge is no lengthier apart from in the minds
Of those people veterans now out of the line
J. Pantaleo
Long Beach front Township
