Tip’s Hardware in West Creek, under the new ownership of Phil Kolodny, is open in confined ability when the retail outlet undergoes renovations.
“We have our paint, boating, nuts and bolts, and fishing departments open up and will shortly have the relaxation of the store again up and operating and will have a grand opening,” Kolodny reported.
The historic making at the corner of Primary Street and Dock Road once housed the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co. Stanley “Tip” Seaman opened the store in 1954 ownership later transferred to his son Bud Seaman, then to Tom Gormley. Ocean County Commissioner and former Eagleswood Township Mayor Jack Kelly took it above from Gormley in 2018.  —V.F.
