To the Editor:
I would like to react to the letter titled “What’s the Real truth?” (5/7).
What the writer and other folks are unsuccessful to fully grasp and accept is that “truth” is based mostly on material and an abundance of confirmed facts. Journalists seek out to uncover and substantiate information, then existing the outcomes to the community. Though everybody is entitled to an “opinion,” viewpoints are not necessarily based mostly on everything other than a own, perhaps even biased viewpoint.
Hence, a journalist really should be underneath no obligation to deliver “equal time” to encourage unproven terms. “Truth” isn’t how someone sees a little something – which is “opinion”! Be sure to allow us lastly have an understanding of the distinction.
