The Tuckerton Library welcomes the community to its annual open home at 7 p.m. on April 13.
Situated at 380 Bay Ave. in Tuckerton, the library is unique in that it is the oldest consistently operating library in Ocean County. The historic gem, courting back again to 1875, is owned and operated by a board of trustees, the Tuckerton Library Association, in cooperation with the Ocean County Library Method, which gives a librarian, textbooks and other technological innovation.
Nearby writer William J. Lewis will give an enthusiastic presentation showcasing details, legends and lore of the Pine Barrens and the individuals who get in touch with it property. Lewis, an Ocean County resident and previous U.S. Maritime, is very best recognised for his guide New Jersey’s Misplaced Piney Tradition.
