Two Arrested Following Barnegat Drug Raid

Medicines and a handgun were being seized from a Village Drive house in Barnegat Township following an early morning raid Oct. 12, law enforcement reported.
Police Main Keith Germain mentioned that at 1:45 a.m., members of the Barnegat Law enforcement Criminal offense Reduction Device, together with officers from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Business office Narcotics Strike Power and Ocean County Regional SWAT Group, executed a “no knock” lookup warrant at the residence.
Officers recovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a Colt .38 caliber revolver loaded with hollow level ammunition.
Naquan Bennett, 29, who lived at the property, was charged with possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow stage ammunition, specific individuals not to have a firearm, possession of much less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
Jamilee Bennett, 23, of Hazleton Pa., was charged with possession of a lot less than 50 grams of cannabis, and was unveiled pending a court docket day.  —E.E.
