Van Drew Supported Texas Effort to Overthrown 2020 Election Results

Past December Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who represents New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes all of Southern Ocean County apart from half of Stafford Township and all of Barnegat Township, pledged his “undying support” to President Donald Trump. This December the longtime Democrat turned Republican, who defeated Democrat challenger Amy Kennedy this November to maintain his place of work for a 2nd phrase, retained his term.
Van Drew was one of 126 GOP associates of the Household of Associates, together with 17 Republican condition lawyers typical, who signed on to an amicus (buddy of the courtroom) quick to Texas Lawyer Standard Ken Paxton’s lawsuit seeking to overthrow Joe Biden’s election victory.
On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to listen to the case, which experienced attempted to overthrow the benefits of the presidential elections in Pennsylvania, Ga, Michigan and Wisconsin, declaring them unconstitutional. SCOTUS said Texas experienced “not demonstrated a judicially cognizable curiosity in the manner in which an additional Condition conducts its elections.” In less difficult language – Texas, keep your nose out of how other states perform their elections.
Not just one of Trump’s Supreme Court nominees – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett – voted in help of hearing the Texas situation.  —R.M.
